I would take Dominos over this place anytime. Pretty much tasteless.

I've been here three times. The first time, about 2 years ago, it was awesome. I went again a couple of months ago, and it was so-so, as was the service. The last time I went, about a month ago, the food was about as bland as Dominoes, although the service was awesome.

I'll point out that Omaha is not known for gourmet anything, so it's easy to think you're getting something authentic when you actually have no idea (some people say steaks, but the best are in Texas), so I (thankfully) didn't go in with high hopes of authentic east-coast pizza.

- I'm wondering who, if anyone, actually gives out these "multiple awards" for pizza.

Sorry to be so brash - but you can't toot your own horn as much as they do and then fail to live up to it. Grrrrr...

I worked at 132nd & Center for 4 years in high school and college. Zio's was the greatest. There have been some problems with consistency over the years, but when they are on, they are amazing.

The Dodge location is awesome. Have a problem? Talk to Sharron there. She has been there forever and is usually pretty good about correcting the situation.

If you've had a bad experience, give them another chance. No, it isn't the cheapest, but usually worth it.

Probably the best pizza in town. Easily the best ranch dressing on earth. The service had been marginal for years, but a recent influx of cute, kind hippies has more than made up for it. Fantastic calzones. A little inconsistent between locations, but Dodge and downtown are a sure bet for great pie. OK beer selection.

Heard good things about this place...... and why? This is nothing to write home about. Drove up to Omaha during the week (thursday) to get some "good" pizza. What a let down. This place is a joke!!!! I have no idea why people would vote this best in Omaha. Way to heavy on toppings, the crust was horrible, and there was little cheese. The only thing that was OK was the sauce, and our server was great. Other wise this place isnt worth the time or the price ($30.00 a pie). I am sorry but Lincoln's Isle's pizza is way better. People in Omaha need to stuff it when they talk about how much better the food is there.......

Buy a Red Baron pizza and you will have a better meal, and a 20 left in your pocket......

me being a native Long Islander, thats in NY, for those of you who dont know, ive been to Zio's and think that their pizza sucks.. i agree about the service, its aweful. the people who work their are punk kids who probably go to westside and only work because mom and dad made them work. As for the pizza, it was terrible... the slice i received looked mutilated, like they had to scrape it off the pan because it was stuck to it. also the sauce wasnt pizza sauce, i was told they used RAGU. never been back since 99. I guess this place appeals to Omaha's snobby class of people, like they know what NY pizza is. Franks is much better, by far.

Zio's is still my favorite in town. I do agree that at times Zio's has a problem with consistency. I think the location on Dodge is probly the best.

We at PizzaOmaha are sorry to hear about your bad time at Zio's. However, we are glad you posted because customer experience can make or break a dinner. So can a tasty beverage (I prefer Coke). We still love you Zio's but it sounds like you might need to have Steve Carell come talk to your employees.

We have always been Zio's Pizza fans until last week. We got the worst service and the pizza was awful. It was bad enough to make us never go back. Too bad the kids that are running the place don't care...
