Comming from N.Y. this is the best i’ve had in a long time. The crust was nice and crunchy and the sauce…Unbeliveable! I even had that little bit of oil dripping on my hand. Really takes me back home.
There is no need for any other pizza in Omaha.
My husband and I are from back East. We haven’t had a decent pizza since we’ve moved here. So needless to say, “Yeah!” Thank you for the best pizza in Omaha.
There is no other place to go for real NY style pizza. When I moved here from NY I tried Zio’s (a sad, over-cooked substitute), then Sam and Louie’s (pizza dough never tasted right and was too soft). Frank’s Pizzeria is the only place I’ve found that is authentic, NY pizza. Thanks for bringing a piece of home out here.
Ewww. I must of went on a bad night because EVERYTHING was awful! The cheese pizza was plain, absolutley blah. The sauce was watered down, it was by far the WORST pizza I have had in Omaha, Ne. The meatballs in the pasta were just as bad, very plain. The stuffed shells were not stuffed and they tasted like rubber. To make matters worse, we went on a Monday night (kids eat free) with a coupon (buy one entree get one free). We thought we would get one kids meal free but we didn’t either free because we had a “coupon”. The only kids meal option is pasta, if your kids want pizza you have to order a whole pizza, which the ad in Omaha Neighbors says and I quote “Kids eat FREE! Monday Nights!-personal pizza or kids pasta plate-1 per adult entree purchased.” Now is that contradicting or what? I will NEVER go back to that place. Save your money and buy a frozen pizza and some frozen pasta. You’ll be happier and save ALOT more money.
I must say this is the best ever, true NY pizza and not only is the pizza great so are the dinners, and the cannoli’s best dessert I have ever had. I was attracted to this place from the neighbors coupon(I did not know about Frank’s) and my kid did eat free and he had his own personal size pizza and loved it. Will definitely go back and we have.
Wow I read some of the comments here and it sounds like Candice only went there to use a coupon….sorry you feel that way. But the rest of you had the same experince I did…….Heaven on Earth….Best since I left the east coast. Thanks Nate for sending me there.

We have been to NYC as some of the others on the posts here… and we too think that Frank’s Pizza is the best NY-style pizza in Omaha. The light, tomato sauce is the best. It’s sweet too. You can eat a whole pizza and not feel like you just stuffed yourself. We also love, love, love those fantastic garlic rolls. Mmmmmm.
We are telling everyone we know to check out Frank’s. Thank you for coming to Omaha!

F-get-about-it If you like NY pie this is the only place in town. I’ve been all over the town eating pizza that is bad to tolerable but Frank’s is delicious. The very few complaints are not from east coasters. Must be from stiffs who like a little more corn in their crust or something, eh?
This is by far the best New York pizza in town. The real deal.
I’m from Philly, and this pizza is the closest I’ve seen to east coast pizza after having lived in Nebraska for 30 years. It’s great — thanks to Frank’s!
Go to La Casa for the best.
Frank- or whoever was working- was a jerk. The pizza took forever, like maybe Frank had to run out the back and to the grocery store, and was marginal at best when it finally arrived. Crappy beer selection.
Drove from DT Omaha to have this supposed best of Omaha pizza only to be totally disappointed. Just less then average at best!!!!
Major Bummer!!!
When Frank’s first opened, I went 3 - 4 times a month. It was fantastic! Over the last several months, I have noticed a change in the work force which has negatively impacted the quality of food and service. I might go once every 4 months now. I keep hoping it will get better, but it continues to disappoint.
I have had pizza from NYC to LA and all points in between. Frank’s used to be the BEST pizza I have ever had. I really hope they get back on track.
I grew up in N.Y. and just got back from a weeks vacation there. Needless to say I got reacquainted with N.Y. pizza, and as good as it was, Frank’s is still the best I have ever had.
I read the comments with joy AND understanding. The few negative comments can be attributed to a couple of things I believe. 1. The comments come from native midwesterners who have grown up on “bready” pizzas or 2…they indeed hit a night when everything was not clicking.
I agree with most of the comments that this is excellent NY pizza. I have been traveling to NYC for many years and have had many great slices and pies there and have become a fan. I still have a Val’s pie from time to time and I never turn down an invitation to indulge in a LaCasa’s pie. These are very good but different styles of pie that many Nebraskans love. But when I need a NY slice/pie “fix”, Franks is the only place in town. Don Carmelo’s?, close but no cigar. Zio’s?, more for the “I need broccoli and pineapple” crowd. Sam and Louies, what a waste of potential, their sauce ruins an otherwise potentially good pie. Not an offensive sauce but just not your great tomato sauce. Everyone has their own perspective when it comes to good pizza or their favorite pizza. Frank’s certainly is deserving of being rated the best NY style in Omaha.
I’m also from the east coast. By FAR the best in Omaha. If you like thin crust and authentic NY style , this is the place.

Great pizza when it first comes out of the oven, but don’t try taking it home. Once it cools off, the flavor goes with it.
The best N.Y. pizza…takes me back to Lower Manhattan buyin it by the slice or the whole pie…

If you like NY style (thin crust), this is the best in Omaha. Great balance between crust, sauce, cheese and toppings.

Pizza is great only if you eat there. Sadly I agree with John, the owners are always rude everytime I go there.
The pizza is fantastic, and probably the best I have ever tasted. Their service is terrible. They have the social skills of a second grader. I think they actually hate the costumers. I have been their a few times and this seems to be a consistant pattern.

Pizza is the best in town hands down! Gotta try the meatball sandwich! Guaranteed to give you weekly cravings. Owner can be a little abrasive at times, but he’s from New York, what do you expect?
